Been following this a little on road dog radio. OODIA is fighting this pretty hard.

As well they should be. Along with any other trade groups.

This is a perfect example of another stupid law that is not needed, and will not lead to any more safety nor prevent the loss of any life. It's just more expansion of the nanny state.

Is that a SiriusXM channel? Which one? I am a talk radio junkie. I would love to check it out!

Yes it is. If I remember correctly the channel is 128. It ranges from some really good conversations to people whining about the business.

Here in RI they are going to put truck-only tolls on bridges to pay for repairs one them... It isn't fair because the governor is saying that the bridges damage is all the trucks fault... when like 75% of the traffic on that stretch of I-95 is 4-wheelers... The local truckers are going on strike by avoiding that stretch of road... I don't like it either... Heres the story: RI Truck Tolls

The Shadow knows! And The Green Lantern really was something. Dragnet on the radio was already Jack Webb's baby. Any questions?

Radio drama while you're driving will really eat those miles!

I'm glad this topic has such a lively discussion. In NC, school buses are governed at 45 mph. I don't think there is any need for them to ever be on the interstate. They are a hazard at that speed. They stay in the right lane and when they approach exit and entrance ramps they create danger for those trying to enter and exit. Thus I love it when it's summer.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Honestly I'm not sure how far this is going to go. I think it would be a huge mistake just because of all the extra congestion it is going to cause. Not to mention all the safety issues. I mean how many times have you all almost been rear ended by someone following too close because we can't do the speed limit? I know the government isn't going to back off on it but there is still a possibility of legal challenges if they do pass it.
