Start here. Companies who hire felons. Good luck. What was your felony?
Posession 2007. Battery n burglary 1999
Btw...ty 4 response. I have been using that link and unfortunately companies on that list that state they do hire felons still have turned me down. Few of them stated none in last 7 yrs but later along in app process come to find out it cant be more than one felony ever. Wish they wouldve stated that to begin with so as to not waste my time or theirs.
Hey King...another link here allows you to blast you application to several different companies at onceApply For Truck Driving Jobs Good luck with your search. Keep your head up. There is someone out there willing to give you a second chance, you just need to find them.
King based on your response to Big Scott you have three felony charges? How many separate charges do you actually have? If it's more than two that could be the issue.
Use the link that Tim replied with. Try Carolina Carriers,...they are a known second chance company.
Good luck, try to stay positive and don't give up.
Hey guys I appreciate the responses and encouragement. Ive been down this path for last ten years so I definitely wont give up it just gets really old and discouraging. The charges in 99 were together as one and then 07 obviously seperate so the companies are viewing it as two. The last company I spoke with said they dont hire anyone with more than 2 seperate. I will definitely try carolina. Thx
Transam, Western express? And if anything look for mom n pop companies in your area.
That's tough ;(
Trucking companies need to trust you with their products and equipment so they definitely won't like the burglary charge. I've met drivers at prime who state they had assault convictions, but not burglary or drugs (big no no here)
Good luck. Trying the Craig list for mom and pop for a bit is not a bad idea. Apply everywhere.

I was wondering if anyone can provide any information in regards to companies that actually believe people can change and dont judge/disqualify you for employment due to criminal charges from many years ago. Almost all the companies I have applied to say that as long as its more than 5 to 10 yrs old then it shouldnt be an issue at all however Ive come to find out the hard way that this is obviously not the case at all. Maybe only durring pre-hire however after that its definitely a problem. I am currently in my 2nd week of driving school and becomimg very frustrated and discouraged because every company thus far has denied me employment upon graduation due to background. I fwel as if I will be stuck with 6k debt for school and wont get employed. My last felony was 2007 almost 10 yrs ago. My driving record is clean as well as work history/stability for last 10 years. I was young and foolish made mistakes however I paid my debt to society as deemed through the court systems and yet seems Im still being punished. All I want is to work and provide for my family. If anyone has any info or suggestions on a company that is willing to give guys like me a shot I would greatly appreciate it. Thx
Pre-hire:
What Exactly Is A Pre-Hire Letter?
Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.
We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
A Pre-Hire Letter Is Not A Guarantee Of Employment
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
