Hey Joe, yes that stretch of 10 is pretty nice. My guess is you'll either take 10 all the way in, but it sucks for traffic once you hit San Berdinano county. 210 is much better for traffic if you go that way. LA county drivers are the worst in the world. I hate driving through there, and I do it on a bike. Never been to NYC but just take a deep breath, say a prayer, and show pitty on the idiots in LA. I understand what your feeling. I've been blessed enough to tour a lot of this country on 2 wheels and loved every second of it. Enjoy and be safe sir!!!
Hey Joe, thanks for posting, I'm real proud of you, and glad to hear things are going well. I've been so busy lately I haven't had much free time to get in here and check on everybody, but you've been on my mind. I thought I was going to catch a break this weekend, but just a few hours into my attempted 34 hour re-set I got a call from weekend dispatch wanting me to re-power a load. That's the second re-power I've had to do this week.
Keep up the good work and learn all you can while your with that trainer, they day will come quickly when you'll be wishing they were there to help you out of a bind, but that's when you really start learning how it's done. Don't worry about that backing it will come to you in time. Just go slow and make sure you don't hit anything - it doesn't have to be pretty or fast right now, just safely executed.
Really glad to hear things are going great out there for ya!
This country has endless amounts of incredible scenery. Hopefully you'll get a chance to shoot up I-15 from L.A. and see all of the incredible scenery up that way. It's really amazing!
Brett, I was just about to mention I15!! You beat me to it. Haha! Man, I remember the first time I went up I15 in the winter time with my wife. It was so amazing I cannot put it into words.
Heres some pictures for anyone who is wondering what we're talking about.
Man, those are incredible pics!!! There are no words that could add anything to those. They speak for themselves. Awesome!

No matter how many stories or posts you read on hear can prepare you for when you actually hit the road.
The beauty. No, not even that word comes close to explaining what you will see out here.
Every turn. Every hill you pop over. Each one is an experience to behold. Yes there are times when you think the straight, flat road will never end. But when you see the next site that takes your breath away, you know it is all worth it.
I just traveled I-10 W through TX, AZ, and now in NM.
I don't have my camera with me this time, but you can bet money I will next time I pass this way. That is after my training is done.
I am having a blast out here. Still a lot to learn with my backing, but everything else is coming along great.
Tomorrow I hit the big city of LA. a little nervious, but not bad. If I can handle NYC in rush hour, LA can't be any worse. LOL
Famous last words.

Keep it safe out here. Joe S.
