Personally I enjoy driving there and will be headed to Denver tomorrow. You'll be surprised that with the higher speed limits, even in a slower truck you won't feel like people are trying to run you over. They have strict laws that they enforce on aggressive driving. Yes the Denver traffic is heavy, but if you need to change lanes simply put on your blinker and they make room.
I mentioned to my cousin about how laid back the colorado drivers are and she just laughed and said it was probably because they are all stoned lol.

Are you sure you're talking about the same Denver I drive in all the time?? Not my experience at all. I think Colorado drivers are crazy. By the way, if either of you have some extra time, let me know. If I can manage to get out of Wyoming with this empty trailer I'll probably be in Denver tomorrow too.
I am indeed, Paul. Sadly I'm accustomed to Chicago, Philly, and Atlanta drivers so for me its a welcome change.
Despite my best efforts to get out there and experience the world, I guess I'm still sheltered haha
Paul, ask Tractor about North Joysie and Philly drivers...
I'm with Paul on this. Denver drivers are bad. Nashville too. Even worse than LA. Chicago, Atlanta and Joisey were about what I expected.
One thing I like about denver drivers is they merge at highway speed. Unlike californians that are terrified to merge in front of a slow truck. Atlanta wasn't as bad as everyone says it is, either that or I was just lucky. I thought Cincinnati was worse. Cincinnati was enough to solidify me to never want to see jersey or the rest of the North east haha.
Everybody bags on California drivers but to me they are some of the most courtious in traffic. Outside of Atlanta, Kansas City is on my all-time worst list. Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma and the rest of the prarie states probably have the most experienced 4 wheel drivers when it comes to sharing the road with 18 wheelers.
No snow to worry about now, all gone from the roads. I am running back and forth between Belgrade, MT and Colorado Springs twice a week right now if this truck will ever stay running. If you are running nort to south the best route uses 270, 70 and 225. Adds about 4 miles to the trip but only have run into one congestion point near the TA on 270
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
