More like - HUH?

You told them WHEN - at orientation?

Did you FAIL A DRUG TEST?

Were you an active driver for them, told them you used, and got terminated?

Being just a little too VAGUE here, for anyone to venture an opinion.

If you were DRUG TESTED AND FAILED - it will likely be on your record.

Y'all come back now - ya hear?

Rick

Let assume Kenneth is not a truck driver and he is looking to get into tricking, otherwise (we can assume again) he already know DOT rules well enough to know that a drug violation would follow your CDL. If there is a missing period after "use" and a missing question mark at the end of the post, then this might be a serious question. If you were working at a factory or warehouse job, had an accident, for example, and admitted drug use in the follow-up, would that be a thing that would automatically be attached to you if you decided to go to trucking school? If you just got terminated from job x, but were not criminally charged for a drug offense, will that necessarily come up in your truck driving career exploration? Assuming of course, you don't feel like volunteering that information.....

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Tricking huh? You been dealing with a lot of lot.lizards lately? Hahah

From the OP it sounds as though he admitted to drug use but wasn't tested. So in guessing he was terminated or not hired but not tested. My guess is that there is no record if that.if I understand him correctly.

However...I doubt he'd get a good reference lol
