Dude you're famous!! I'm jelly. Haha
That is cool!!!
You had the rare experience of meeting a stranger you've helped who you didn't know you helped. There are probably many others. Good for you.
Patrick...I live in Alabama, I saw where you are regional..how do they work the hometime there..home every weekend? I stay out about a month at a time and am looking for something, eventually , with more hometime. Everything I have seen about them seems mostly positive.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
Wolding is great about working with you on how you want to run. If you want home every weekend, then that is what you get. If you want to stay out 2 weeks, that works too.

I just wanted to share something I thought was really cool. Yesterday when I was getting ready to leave the terminal I was talking with 2 new hires. 1 of them has been on trucking truth and has read my brief training diary. The guy was like, "yeah I read a training diary from a guy that works here. It was old I think. His name was Patrick." I was like that is me!! It was just really neat. Sorry just wanted to share.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
