No im not worried about passing. I want to shave my head and was wondering if they do hair follicle testing. I know it sounds crazy but was going to go with a company that did but things did not work out. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Go ahead and shave your head. You have plenty elsewhere on your body. You just might want to wait until after you are hired. You don't want to show up with a freshly shaved head. may look a bit suspicious.

So what didn't work out with the other company? Depending on what happened, and why, might also cause a similar outcome with Prime.

When they recruited me, they failed to answer my question on truck being taken home or the terminal clearly. I talked to the terminal manager, when he called and did he welcome aboard speech. I asked him and he said I would have to park the truck at the terminal and I would have to drive my car 350 miles each way. I could not have that I would spend 10 of the 48 hours on the road to home. So we both agreed it would not be a good fit for what I needed. It has nothing to do with the test or anything.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

If your head is shaved on your DL photo - and that's how you wear it - no biggie. If you show up for orientation, with an Angela Davis afro on your DL, and razor burn on your scalp - it might raise some questions.

As others have mentioned - they get hair from other places, if your head-hair isn't long enough. Now - if you shave down totally - ehhh, problem.

I used to have an big afro myself. Since it's gone grey, I've taken to wearing it military short (Navy, not Marines), as it's just lower maintenance and I don't have to long for the days of long blonde hair.
