I'm in TN...I won't say warm

.but I'd rather deal with flurries than heavy snow wind and ice. So I'm taking my 34 before my FM sends me up there to help move the delayed freight.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Rainy, I'm from Nashville. Lord help you if there's more than 3 flurries. They can't handle light rain down there

Anybody know if we will be able to get into pa tomorrow? I have a load to mechanicsburg tomorrow. I'm new to this territory. How long do these closures last? Boy I'm missing my Walmart dedicated account right now.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Where abouts are you headed. I'm going to mechanicsburg to drop and then to McClure to grab a load to take me straight home to Omaha.

Kind of an understatement, in Tennessee they close the schools if someone drops an ice cube tray.

Meanwhile in Colorado, 65° and sunny.

This storm didn't live up to the hype on the weather channel. It was a good one, no doubt, but not the end of the world like it sounded like it would be. I drove from NC to Iowa the last two days, just a few flurries on the southern route. (Running an overdue errand in a minivan, not back in an actual truck .... yet.
