Air Gun To Connect To Seat...

I've watched videos for the air gun installation but I can't figure out how to get the connector off the air hose to install the gun's splitter. All the videos show people cutting the lines. There's a black connector in the middle of the air hose to the seat and it doesn't seem to wither unscrew nor pull off. Any ideas? I'm afraid to pull too hard if it isn't supposed to pull off.

Thanks

If the connector looks something like that, push in on the air line (either end) then press the blue part towards the center and then pull the air line out. It's a compression style fitting that locks the air line in place as those blue tabs slide away from the connector itself. You might need pliers to squeeze the tab enough to hold it when you pull the air line out.

When putting the air line back in, simply push it in until it stops, then give a slight tug and it will lock in place.

I wouldn't do this myself. I would take it to the shop and have them do it. They have the parts and have done it a thousand times before, only takes 10 min no appointment required.

If you do it yourself and dont do it perfectly you will have a massive airleak that could potentially put your truck out of service if you cant fix it. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
