Well orientation is over and my first run with my trainer will be to Richmond Virgiana leaving Saturday morning at 10 and have to be there by Monday at 10. Pretty good first run miles wise. Any words of advice from some of the vets on the roads for a newbie

Welcome and congratulations. Just wondering where you're coming in from? Will likely hit some mountains on the way.

I'll be leaving from Strafford Missouri which is about 10 minutes outside of Springfield

Relax, take it easy, be careful, and don't hit anything. The rest is gravy.

Congrats! My advice is to be patient. When doing slow maneuvers in truck stops or at a customer, take your time and slow down. It's not a race. As long as you don't hit anything, you'll be fine. And if you must hit something, go slow enough that you won't do any damage, 1mph will still get you there.

You'll be fine, I was just there but had to run up to NY. Traffic between Richmond and Washington can be brutal.
