Western Star 4900 flat top completely blacked out. No chrome or aluminum anywhere. Moose catcher on the front. Pre egr Detroit, 18 speed with 3.90 rears.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Western Star 5700EX flat top sleeper. Eaton Fuller 18 speed manual, with a DD15 engine. Some crazy metallic color, probably a mix of sky blue and orange. Chrome everything, both hood mirrors. 295/80 front tires, 315/80 rears. I'm getting carried away...

One I don't have to pay to maintain, one that doesn't stink from the previous driver, that doesn't live in the shop.

KW T680, Volvo 780 or the new Cascadia (with the murphy bed setup) - autoshift.

The truck I want, is the one I can make $$ with - that doesn't COST me $$.

I would drive the new Tesla semi. It hasn't even been built yet and it's already the best truck in the world. It can go 1,000 miles with no gass. It's battery power cannot be measured but they say they are as powerful as 10,000 ninjas and you don't have to worry about watching your mirrors because it doesn't have any.

Whether it is self-driving or not, no mirrors would make me a bit trippy...

Tesla? Well, as long as we're dreaming: T680 or 5700 glider with high top 72" sleeper. leather, 8 bag air ride, HID headlights, arctic insulation, passenger side workstation, 600hp MX-11, no, make that a 600hp ISB with no DPF or EGR, if it gets 10mpg I'll be very happy, if it lasts 3 years I'll be super happy, 18sp Eaton, 1800rpm water cooled APU tied into the main engine's coolant to keep the engine warm all night, Insta-Lube pre-oiler, 53' HT composite Hyundai air ride dry van , self scaling via suspension pressure...

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

APU:

Auxiliary Power Unit

On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.

Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.

Same with me on this one. Either this or a Kenworth T680 or W900. Maybe the new Nikola One? Who knows? There are a lot of nice trucks out there.
