If he is parked here for just a few minutes to run inside, no big deal. However, at the time I took this (18:40 in Cleveland TN), there were at least three open spots and at least 15 empty reserved spots. Why do this? I know how bad parking can be, but trip planning, including where to spend the night helps.

Oh, I'm sure he's for real. I see it ALL THE TIME. The parking lot is half empty, but some jackass just HAS to park in the driveway because he's too ******* lazy to walk further than 50 feet into the building. It ranks right up there with That Guy who just can't be bothered to actually walk in and use the restroom like a civilized human being, and instead whips his dingus out and pees on his tires in front of God and everybody. I saw a guy do that once in broad daylight at a Pilot in MI. The worst part? Another driver with his wife and two young (as in less than 8 years old) daughters in tow just happened to walk by at the same time. Disgusting.

From what I've seen, that's quite common at most truck stops. As long as he isn't blocking anyone or creating an issue it isn't a big deal. When some of these places fill up, driver's get pretty creative in finding new places to park. I'll do it myself sometimes so I don't wake up to find myself blocked in, especially with my spread axles. Maybe he wants to leave an easy out for himself. Maybe he's new and doesn't want to back up if he doesn't need to.

Heck, judging from that pic, you might find 2 or 3 more trucks next to him come morning lol.

That's partly why I always try to park as FAR away from the building as possible. Better exercise and usually more room.

Nothing surprises me any more about the way some park. Whether just bad backers, lazy, or simply too stupid/ignorant. As long as they don't block or hit me. Learn to live with it cause you can't change it.

Haha, this tends to be the norm in this industry. I find myself annoyed on nearly a daily basis by drivers too lazy to either drive beyond first row, back into actual spot or think it's too much to walk more than 50 feet for buffet, tho many could use the exercise. I swear some drivers would be lost when finding a place to park if there weren't scales. Same with the turds that mark parking full on apps such as Trucker Path when there a numerous spots available. Welcome to trucking, you are sure to find some of the laziest, whiny and most disgusting individuals out here. There are also some really good folks so don't let what seems to be a majority spoil view of everyone.

Roll Baby...roll with them punches. Take it for what it's worth, yes lazy, perhaps really crappy at backing, maybe even too dumb to understand the err of their dubious ways,...however in no way, shape or form is he able to mess up your day...above it all! Right?

There is always one entitled knucklehead that forgets they share space with the rest of us.

Didn't bother me. This place has plenty of no parking signs and will have you towed. Yes by sometime tonight I expect some people to be completely blocked in. A few days ago, I had to wake someone up and tell them to move so I could get out. I do love all the different oppinions and stories this brings up. By the way at 20:58 he's still there. confused.gifwtf-2.gif
