Twice now at the same restraunt I have been told that I was given a senior discount. I am not even 50 yet. My business partner gets upset because he is 2 years older but does not get it.
Told him that I was going to call him baby face from now on.
A senior discount and you're in your 40's? The only thing I know of that would make someone so young look so old is owning a trucking business!
TWIC:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. Well to be completely honest I am only 4 months from ther half century mark. The white Santa beard might have something to do with it too.
Happens to me from time to time as well. First time I felt guilty about not being entitled to it and spoke up about correcting it. BIG MISTAKE. 15 minutes later, still waiting. Now I just smile and say thanks.
If you can get the discount, any discount, always take it!
I miss my active duty military discounts. TBH though, since I tend to keep my hair in a generally military look, I still get the discount a lot of times where I am from.
