You guys are funny. I lived 80's metal as a teenager and it was absolutely amazing. I had the hair halfway down my back and played guitar and dressed in all black and all that. It was awesome. Once in a while I'll still listen to that stuff, especially if I'm lifting weights or skiing, but I just don't have that rebellious anger in me anymore so my choices have mellowed considerably.

Some of my favorite road tunes from over the years:

  • The Fire Inside - Bob Seger
  • Take It To The Limit - The Eagles
  • Roll Me Away - Bob Seger
  • Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
  • 18 Wheels And A Dozen Roses - Patty Loveless
  • Wheels - Restless Heart
  • Seriously, everything by Red Sovine

"Rolling Stone" was my CB handle which came from the Bob Dylan song

How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
A complete unknown
Like a rolling stone

This is the nickname people use on the CB

Hi,

whenever I drive, songs don't have to relate to trucking. However, I like to listen to more complex music such as progressive rock/metal.

I recommend the song Vanden Plas - On My Way to Jerusalem or And the Road Goes On by Edenbridge as an example.

If you want a song related to both Trucking and Halloween, then try Deadbolt - Voodoo Trucker or El Paso.

When you drive graveyard hours, you might like a song related to the night such as Nightfall Overture by Nightingale.
