It does sometimes if I leave the lights on auto. It doesn't do it all the time though.

Rainy, I'm convinced someone at Prime with a good sense of humor, purposely designated that truck to you. "Oh this truck has some crazy issues. We're gonna give this one to that crazy girl from New Jersey. It will be fun just to see how many times she brings it into the shop, like it's got a poltergeist or something!"
Ya know, it is Saturday. My wife makes me take one every Saturday whether I need it or not why should the truck be any different.
Rainy I think your truck beeps because it's just so damn happy you're it's driver.
Old School
,
its true!! i swear. Intemational says it is a prime thing and prime says it is an international thing. one mechanic said it is a security thing. that annoying beeping is a pain. its not the lights.
with the lights off, the engine off, the key removed... i open my door and beep beep beep. fueling..beep beep beep. i got so annoyed the first time at the fuel aisle i just walked away. the driver next to me was like "your truck is beeping". thanks dude, but i dont care anymore. if i press the brake it stops for 30 seconds or so then back to beep beep beep.
Last month i turned the heater on full blast and glass came shooting out of the vents. apparently the truck had a serious accident. The QC has died twice in the last 2 weeks. and they have fixed 2 air leaks. the trans wasnt shifting right and the exhaust had a recall so the dealer fixed that stuff.
But honestly, i love the truck. it drives better than my cascadias and even the pete i trained in. it cruised down Cabbage with no issues and no braking at all. no crazy shifting. it is heavier so it doesnt bounce as much in construction, it never rocks from the wind, and it is better insulated so im not freezing. the outer noise is blocked better too so im sleeping better.
yes ive had it for 2 months now and im.not sure how many times i have "shopped" it. but i dont care. they arent taking it from me. they would just give it to someone else. that means an increased chance of some newbie getting a haunted truck and not knowing what to do. I just make shop appointments then call the spa and make a massage or hair appointment for the same day
sorry i stole the thread.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
