Anyone planning to come through PA today and tomorrow. They are closing the interstates at 1200 ahead of this snow storm and will lift the ban "when conditions are stabilized".

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Thanks for the info. You know it's bad when they issue a statewide ban on all commercial vehicles.

It's going to get pretty bad over here in New York.

I actually drove all night to deliver my load early ahead of the storm, 575 miles which doesn't seem like a lot. But it is when you can only go 63MPH. Lucky there is a nice truck stop less then half a mile from the customer with a great restaurant! I'm also taking my 34 hour reset, so hopefully it'll be cleaning up by the time I start again. But we'll see how that goes.

I do miss some aspects of otr but this is not one of them. It's a bone chilling 50 degrees out right now and I'm on the couch. Be safe out there drivers.

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

It was -6 in Nebraska this morning with wind that would frost bite you in 15 minutes.

Thanks for rubbing it in!!!

Sounds like New York and New Jersey are going todo the same thing. Thankfully I'm over on the west side of the Rockies heading for Tulsa.
