Symptoms may include but are not limited to: an irresistible urge to take all corners at 30mph, supreme hesitation to accelerate to the posted speed limit on a straightaway because "wait, there's more!," and the inescapable feeling that you'll never see the horizon again.
I drove from Salt Lake City, UT to Pueblo, CO today via I15 / US6 / I70 / US50 and there are So. Many. Canyons.
LOL!
I. Feel. Your. Pain!
I love the scenery inside the canyons, the rock formations, the weathered rock walls, seeing the striations of the earth... there’s one where the rocks/boulders all look like they’re blowing like trees in the wind in one direction as you enter. I think my favorite is along I-11 near the Hoover Dam. I have to struggle to stay in my lane because I’m constantly looking around!

Yeah but what a ride! I love driving through that kind of topography. It keeps you on your game for sure.
Paul, I don't think I've actually run 11 yet, I had to go find it on Google maps because I didn't even know we had an I11. I've run I15 through Virgin River quite a few times though.
Turtle, yea. They're beautiful drives but I think that route goes through... 4 or 5 canyons and I think like. 3 is my limit before I just get sick of it. XD
That's one of the most beautiful drives in the country. I love going through Vail Pass as well headed out to Grand Junction.
The drive over I70 /is/ absolutely gorgeous-- I think my favorite though is WY230, which we'll pick up when we're doing a run to Craig, CO. It's so hard to pick an actual best though. I enjoy them all, just... not in one day.
Driving in the U.P. this time of year is beautiful too.
