And fighting wind can tire you quickly.
That's true as well! It was hitting me hard at times but it finally calm down a bit when I got into Ohio. But then it started to snow and being tired that's when I decided to stop.
Also thanks to whoever updated my thread title, I don't know why I didn't name it properly to begin with!
This week I got a call from my dbl ( driver leader) and all the dbl’s at my OC we’re calling all their drivers to personally discuss the issue of fatigue
The day before, one of the drivers fell asleep behind the wheel and overturned the truck and trailer.
Probably a ruined career. I hope nobody got hurt. Don’t drive beyond your limits, get parked and live to drive another day.
Bruce, i think there's a few things in play at times. Some people are too ill informed to understand the things that can happen. They assume all will be fine because they are a good driver. Ignorance is bliss. Then there are the over confident drivers in total denial. They have seen the reports and news reels of accidents yet they are the master drivers of the universe and it will never happen to.them.
I can emphatically say i won't get blown over cause my butt will be parked. I have seen too many trucks blown over with my own eyes... right next to me, right in front of me...one almost blew then jack knifed next to me. One was freaking PARKED across from me. on a slanted grass area, thump!
Period.
