Something all new drivers need to be aware of are the potholes at truck stops. Some of them you can actually fall into. This happend at the Breezeood Fish Hook.

You should see the potholes in West Memphis AR near the love and flying J, they're doing some construction there and messed everything up, its actually worse then what it was before and the way they have everything blocked off makes it harder for trucks. I had to dodge the the holes in my car, or it would have messed my car up, sits to low to the ground as is. rofl-3.gif

Yes the potholes in West Memphis AR, are horrible. Came through last week all of sudden my truck was bouncing all over. I quickly looked out my mirror and whipped over a lane. The speed limit is 55, I was doing like 50. Scared me!

Never going to West Memphis again until they get that mess cleaned up. I was there about three weeks ago my first time pulling in there I couldn't even tell which truck stop I was going to the roads were so screwed up. Was trying to get to the pilot and ended up in the loves. There was a nice easy parking spot so I said the hell with it I'm sitting here. Must have had five people knock on my door for money that night... what a crap hole it is.

JYD—Just get a bumper sticker that reads, “Driver Carries No Cash...He’s Married” or “Driver Carries No Money. Only Guns and Ammo”.

Or......Driver will jump out and beat you to within an inch of your life if you knock on this door and wake him up!

That would be an awful big bumper sticker though.

The wife and I recently moved like 70 miles from West Memphis, but I was happy when they decided to fix the roads near the truck stops as it has been long over due. But the way they did it, made it terrible.

But for future reference, if you're exiting from i40east , turn left from the off ramp to go to the pilot or if you're coming from i55 drive past the loves and KFC and stuff, under the over pass and it's the second left and then right away take the first left around the little loop and you'll see the truck entrance.

There is also a flying J behind the loves, if you keep driving around that loop you'll see it. Even if you pass it, the loop goes back around to the main road.

But until they fix it, I'd suggest avoiding it if possible.
