Yep, very nice.

What is that rectangular thing below the climate controls? Looks like a pouch or fold down door

Do they still have the leaf springs that go up and over the drives instead of under? I hear that makes a comfy ride with a loaded trailer. Does the basic model have the over bunk table that swings out from the rear bulkhead , and reclining bunk? Satellite radio ready?

Bulkhead:

A strong wall-like structure placed at the front of a flatbed trailer (or on the rear of the tractor) used to protect the driver against shifting cargo during a front-end collision. May also refer to any separator within a dry or liquid trailer (also called a baffle for liquid trailers) used to partition the load.

Yes, that's a unique Volvo design. It rides good. I'd say it definitely rides better than the International I just go out of. This is work though - 45,000 pounds on your trailer takes it's toll on how smoothly you encounter life's bumps and pot holes. It ain't no Maserati. This is a working class workhorse.

I've had her 3 days. We just turned over 2,000 miles when I parked for my 10 hour break. I think she's already realized I aim to make some money while we're together.

I got lucky! Any day I can keep up with you is a great day as far as I'm concerned.

It's the way my breaks fell in the middle of the day. I'm doing a lot of night driving and running on recaps.

Yep, that's been me for 4 nights of each of the past two weeks. I just parked at 1000 after already driving 10 hours last night. One delivery, one shipper , and four different trailers. This one is a two-stop load, with the first stop 5 hours from here at 0430 tomorrow.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Old School, those models that they advertise with the reclining bunk and overhead bunk table must be the upgraded models, lol. I guess for the working people model, it's prop your head up with pillows and place your laptop in your lap.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
