Very unusual facility. Looks like something out of a movie where drugs, guns or missiles are being smuggled into an abandoned location.

Are you in on the scheme? Lol

Customer at an abandoned airport

Awesome, Davy !! Hensley Field???

Dallas, Texas

I know, BK ... I was like ...wtf-2.gif too! Then, I recalled . . as my niece lives in Dallas, TX ... !

~ Anne ~

ps: I could be wrong, she's a Realtor out that way, so she hears of 'development' projects. Hope Davy stops back to verify/clarify!

It's the old airport and college in Amarillo Texas. I kept thinking the cartel boss was gonna show up

Used to be an auxiliary airfield and military pilot training facility. Those hangars date to the WWII Era.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Spotted this possum taking a break under an old wrecked truck at the Tomah, Wi terminal.

This was from the company vehicle in Tomah. It's a 2003 Chevrolet something. What the heck is that thing in the middle?!?! AM/FM, CD, AND Cassette. What a Big Time ride!

I had to remove this bird nest (with an egg) from the landing gear supports on a trailer I was picking up a few days ago at 0200 in Schofield, WI. I really hated doing this, but what to do?

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
