My first truck's left windshield panel was not replaced properly. So water leaked when it rained. Right onto the drive cam. Was taking too long to fix, so I got to swap out. Went from a '16 Cascadia to a '18 Cascadia. I like this one. My trainer has a '20 Cascadia. So I am more familiar with all the controls on the '18. Only bad thing is I could idle to my heart's content with the '16. Opti-idle sucks.

Drew, I've never had a truck with Opti-Idle. I can see how it could be frustrating. Hopefully you'll get accustomed to it. At least it's a fairly new ride. It looks really nice - Congratulations!

The Opti - idle will shut off when outside temp is about 75, but the cab temp might 85 degrees. Does anyone know if Freightliner is the only truck that Swift has with Opti - idle? If so, another reason to hate Freightliner. I will upgrade this week, and am hoping I will have a choice for something without Opti - idle.

On level ground, chock the drive tires, front and rear. Engage the trailer and parking brakes while idling. Make sure it's out of gear, or in neutral, then push in the parking brake.

Will it idle then?
