It's 1964 and the British Invasion is HIP!

This is on I-57 south near MM 72 in southern Illinois. I have no idea why George Harrison is in a field strumming his Fender.....?

I see that sign every time we drive up to Madison, WI to see the granddaughter (and her parents...). Wondered about it first time I saw.
Here's some of the skinny..

Why, PackRat, it's obvious to me that's a little serenade out there for ya from George.

Been looking for this segue since you posted it was your birthday and how nice of you to provide it. Belated best birthday wishes!

When I get older losing my hair Many years from now Will you still be sending me a Valentine Birthday greetings bottle of wine If I'd been out till quarter to three Would you lock the door Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four You'll be older too And if you say the word I could stay with you I could be handy, mending a fuse When your lights have gone You can knit a sweater by the fireside Sunday mornings go for a ride Doing the garden, digging the weeds Who could ask for more Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four Every summer we can rent a cottage In the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear We shall scrimp and save Grandchildren on your knee Vera, Chuck and Dave Send me a postcard, drop me a line Stating point of view Indicate precisely what you mean to say Yours sincerely, wasting away Give me your answer, fill in a form Mine for evermore Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four smile.gifdancing.gif

Awesome!!! Thank you so much, Bill! I'm really big into rock history running from Bill Haley and The Comets up until about the time period when Frampton came alive in '77. Some stuff afterwards (Clapton, Skynyrd, and The Alman Brothers), but mainly 50s to late 70s.

Guess that song is for me now, Rookie Doyenne, come to think of it, since I am now 64!

Omigosh; maybe I did it. Not a fun day...he sure got an 'escort' (about 4 OSHP's) to the nearest pen after this. You Open Deck guys, have fun with critiquing this.. a day I wish I stayed home..we sure did NOT fall in behind him. Real, unedited unshopped pic from our phone.

Somedays the office window isn't so pretty. All I had to share, sorry.

Here's the one I took today at the shipper , EP Minerals in Middleton, TN. I'm about 1/8 of a mile north of of the Mississippi state line. Muddy parking lot and 200 yard walk to the shipping office.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
