When I was at Knight, none of our trucks had this, believe it or not. Company saving money....

PackRat, you must have drawn the short straw while you were at Knight. Every truck I've had here has a dump valve.

That doesn't surprise me much. One of the reasons I'm not driving for Knight any longer.

Got the letter in the mail today, letting me know that it was a preventable accident and was worth 1 safety point for my Crete record which we can only get 12 within a 12 month period.

Not surprised as it was preventable and it was a lesson learned, like I told my wife I would've been surprised if it was considered anything else.

I'll be extra careful and be sure to check it the way I learned at Schneider instead of how far forward like I did that day.

Sorry to hear it ended up as a preventable. It sucks to have to learn a lesson that way, but kudos to you for sharing it with the group. You've helped many others by doing so.
