Drove over 2,500 mi. in 8 days. Longest day 529 in about 6 hrs. straight. Longest drive time about 10.5 hrs.. Toughest was mountains at night in downpour. Backing continues to improve.

Super single drive shreaded under Trainer. We were 3 hours ahead at that point. He still got us in (two hours away) within one hour window for "on time" delivery. Without delay he would have gotten 2.5 hrs. detention pay.

On one load we hauled pineapples from port of DE to distribution center. That one qualified as HOS exempt but we just Teamed it.

Been to PA, MA, RI, NY, all over OH. "High road" and "low roads", been to one DC 3 times... stop for departing trucks, watch for cops, one stop sign in / 2 out, other trucks will yield to you on way out, stop again before crossing tracks or get ticket! Fire hydrants, big rock... starting to get that stuff. Documenting what I can till I get trainer to write the book!

Left yard before most this AM. 150 (home weekends) tractors still parked. Trainer delivered one load before most got rolling. Heading to Alabama, driving 2nd.

Keeping the truck and freight movin'!

Be safe y'all! Thanks for all the support and encouragement!

Keep on Truckin'!

Huh?

Oh sorry..... Your Qualcomm had a message on it in the picture, lol.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

Yeah, what I thought you meant! Trainer getting messages, handling dispatch, etc.. I can access them but generally only do so to get load info (which I am now writing in a notepad). Kinda / sort of Trainer's message!
