Yeah getting it taken care of now, lucky it was noticed while we was at a loves anyways to get a trailer tire replaced.
Thank goodness you had your wife with you.
That didn’t just happen overnight.
I carefully inspect my steers several times per day. Also check the air pressure every day.
Jamie...dude, check them tires like your life depends on them. Which it does!
I’m glad this didn’t let go on you.

You're right, neglect on my part. I check things throughout my pretrip and post trip, but tend to over look my steers. But after today, I'm going to really pay attention as I should've been doing before today.
Thankfully it was noticed before it blew out going down the road.
A steer tire is the last tire I want to ever have come apart while driving.
Susan had one blow a couple months ago and it was a miracle she made it to a safe stop.

So we(me and my wife) are at a loves to get a trailer tire replaced that had a slow leak in it(that another driver left for me to pickup), during this time we disconnected from the trailer and bobtailed to the store to use the restroom and when she was getting into the truck, she noticed my thread showing on my passenger side steer tire. Pictures below.
Could've been different if it blew down the road.

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.
