CSX level grade crossing in Newport DE. Store was a10th of a mile away. About a 40 minute delay. Took my 30 minute break while I watched a static series of rail cars.

Keep on trucking

What would of happened if that train ended before a 30? Guessing you would of had to start over?

Great question...I would have crept to the shoulder, it was wide enough.

Ask any Millis driver about the trains near the Trenton, Ohio terminal.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Worst location ever for a trucking company. Right in the middle of a triangle with tracks crossing all roads in. And not just any tracks. About a quarter mile away is a large switching yard so the trains coming in may block the roads for hours.

Not to mention the firing range right next door visited by a large number of 50 cal enthusiasts. First time one of those let loose I just about wet myself.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Yep!

I got delayed by at least one train 82% of the time I had to go by the terminal.

I could not park there during the day because the gunfire was a trigger for PTSD.
