Big Scott,

Pardon my ignorance man, I'm new to this. Does that picture up there repersent how many miles you've went or is that a paycheck of sorts? Or actually both now that I think about it. Either way if that's miles, and the Earth's equator is 24,000 miles around, that'd mean you traveled half the distance of the earth in a months time....$$$

Or I could be completely wrong on what that number means exactly. Enlighten me someone, please.

Anne, where on LI? I'm born and raised there.

Yes those were my total miles for the month. It also meant great paychecks. My FM knows I don't like to sit. Will be home by the end of this week.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

East Meadow; Nassau County. Actually born in Jamaica, Queens (hospital) because my dad's deli was nearby and my mom was helping him there the day she went into labor, haha! We were right off Hempstead Avenue, actually.

My dad was a Radiologist (also) and worked at Nassau Hospital, Stony Brook, and one other I don't recall. He X'rayed Lucille Ball, and I got to meet her ... but I was only 5 or so.

Brother went HVAC with Hofstra. He grew up and bought a home in Ridge, NY .. later moving to Levittown.

Sister 'honeymooned' in Rome, NY (upstate, I know... but still dunno why, haha!)

Watched the fireworks from top of Tower 1 in 1995 .. with my brother and sis in law.

Small world, eh? Where do YOU hail from?!?!?!

I was born in that hospital in 1967. Lived in Jamaica until I was one. My dad's business, Fumex, was based in New Hyde Park. Was in Westbury until after 3rd grade. We then moved to Woodbury after I graduated HS, we moved to Syosset. I have a brother in Syosset and one in Yaphank, mom lives in Coram now. Small world.
