I got my permit, and whenever I try to call at knight transportation, they never pick up the phone...

Is something happen at their company? It never happens when I'm calling at prime.

The reason why I want to go knight transportation is because the training location is just an hour from my house for orientation and such.

But there's no way to know if my application got through or not if they never pick up the phone.

If it keep happens, I might have to consider going to prime where their orientation located about 24hours of driving....

God I am very confused right now whether I should go to prime or knight...[personally I want to go knight but they better pick up the phone]

I understand that you are anxious to get started, but you do realize you aren't the only applicant, right?

Have you spoken with one specific recruiter? How many calls have you made with no answer over how many days?

Have you used this link to Apply For Paid CDL Training Apply For Truck Driving Jobs? I'd hate for you to spend precious time waiting on any company to make an offer that never comes. I wouldn't worry about where the company is located. You'll be given a bus ticket (rental car currently due to Covid-19). Training is such a small part in the grand scheme. We've had members that work for both of those companies and have been very successful.

it was 11 calls and 1 email before I was managed to get a call.[I started my call at November 2 and managed to get 2 calls total at November 3 and November 10]

She says they got the application and send me the email for the forum request. Plus She was gonna call me at 11/11 but I didn't get any call from her.

After that, I want to ask some question about whether my application got through and how long is it gonna take; so now I am calling 4 times but no response so far...

Orientation is 3-4 days, after that you go out with a trainer for several weeks. Once solo, you will usually go out for several weeks before any time home.

I would not worry about settling on any company because the orientation is close to home. Seriously?

Maybe they gave your job away. I know autonomous trucking may be a while off, but I just read this after wondering about stagnant wages: "Driver Reach is a company that helps trucking companies recruit drivers. They are much loved by the American Trucking Association so that should say something. Anyway, Driver Reach has a blog and in it they discuss how to get drivers here from South Africa. Yes. There is a fee for this, $125 a week as far as I can tell. They do this because SOME companies cannot get drivers in the United States to take their low paying jobs. So, they simply import people who will take their substandard pay driving job. There are PLENTY of CDL drivers in the United States. There is in fact a shortage of GOOD PAYING JOBS for them. Maybe Driver Reach could import some of those. When you import a person on an EB-3 Visa for a truck driver job it is considered unskilled labor and only has to meet a minimum wage requirement. That requirement is lower than an it would take to get the job filled. Companies that treat drivers like professionals and pay a good wage do not have a problem getting drivers. ATA companies have problems getting drivers. See the difference, Driver Reach?" as written in video description from YouTube Channel Trucking Answers (with 30.4 thousand subscribers) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnsAWFLGRlA&list=RDCMUCBLTOE0xkbIyGFFryPsE0Lg&index=24

Mark at Trucking Answers is great with lots of info but he is consistently giving wrong info on Prime. He flat out hates mega carriers yet they are the ones willing to risk training new drivers.

He rejects our opinion of sponsored training and that is his right to a different opinion.
