My bank has my account open, but anything suspicious they text me and give me the option to accept or not. If I don’t reply in 15 minutes they will lock my debit card

My bank set my debit card up as "permanent travel." At one point I had to re-set it each year in January. Then after about three years out on the road they said, "We can fix this." Like P.J. said, if their algorithms pick up something suspicious they notify me.
I have to report to a branch in person to get some restrictions lifted. Good to know the fraud department is working, just makes some personal issues more difficult to deal with.
All of my bank and credit cards have "lock" features on the apps.

Don't know if it's been mentioned before. Let your bank know what your plans are, they may not find your new activity acceptable.
