Boring? I get a kick out of seeing all the antelope, elk, and mule deer. I'm always scouting for big racks.

So it doesn’t look like I’ll be making it over elk mountain tonight. But I did figure out a detour route that will take me into less windy areas, I’m head out in the morning, assuming it’s not to windy in Rawlins.

Good news! They lifted the light high profile vehicles restrictions, and I got out of dodge ASAP. I’ve been up all day, but lucky I did leave when I did, about two hours later they put the restrictions back in place due to high winds.

I made it to Gothenburg, NE, 410 miles from Rawlins. Now it’s time for some much needed sleep.

I was stuck in Wyoming several times and spent a year there one weekend. After that I decided to stay away, at least in the winter.

Anyone else stuck in Wyoming due to the rolling road closures? Been here since 0130 this morning and it seems it might be awhile. The only updates giving so far was the estimate time for it to reopen has increased, multiple times now.
