Hi PackRat,

We got back last night and have spent the day doing laundry and grocery shopping. We had a great time with our son and daughter in law but always too short. He lives in Belfair and works at a Naval office across the street from Seahawks Stadium and The Needle.

We travelled to the coast and played in the Pacific, drove up to Port Angeles and stared at Canada and just hung out enjoying his company and learning about his current and future Navy assignments. He is a Senior Mineman Chief so he is either going to San Diego, Jacksonville, Bahrain or Sasebo, Japan. He will learn in October so either we visit here or maybe Japan.

We stopped at Uncle Pete's for dinner and got to meet The Man himself. I love the old Mom & Pop truck stops and this one was great. I asked him how many coffee cups he now had and he estimates 6000+. They are building a new QT Travel Center across the street from him. That's about it for this trip as we leave Crossville, Tn June 1 and head to Max Meadows, Va on I-81at exit 80 about 1/2 mile from the Flying J or 3 miles from the J and Pilot at exit 77. If anyone is stopping there I would love a meet and greet. Stay safe everyone and we hope to see ya'll soon.

I'll be passing through Crossville tomorrow morning which is why I was checking on your location.

How big is that Pilot? I'm wondering about how early some parking will open up.

PackRat,

That Pilot has 85 parking spaces, 20 Prime spaces, 7 fuel pumps, 7 showers, Wendys if needed. Give me a shout as to a time. My cell #302-752-6409 no matter when I'm about 10-15 minutes away.

PackRat,

There's also the ECO Travel Plaza at the same exit but south about 1 mile. They have about 45 parking spots and Dairy Queen

That is awesome ya’ll. I’ll keep it in mind Navypoppop where your at. Would be a pleasure to meet you. I just went through Va a couple days ago. Franklin NC is beautiful. I have a brother on the other side of the hill in cullowhee and I live about 70 miles or so south of there in Ga. We have a customer in canton nc and I stay at the ta in chandler when I go up there.

At least ya’ll remembered to take the pic. I always forget. Ya’ll look great. Blaming it on sometimers disease, sometimes I can remember, other times not so much.

Right now making a weekend run to Ft Worth and my travel agent says I’ll be back in Atlanta on tues.
