A number of times I have composed a reply to a post and when I press SEND, it says: "sending" but it doesn't "send" no matter how long I wait. When I finally close out, my comment is lost. How can I avoid this from happening?

Just hit the "sending" button again. It may re-send it. Sometimes it may be your internet connection, sometimes it may be a delay as our database runs a live backup. The backup usually takes about 15 seconds, which is an eternity when you're waiting on something that normally happens immediately. Give it like 15 seconds and see if it goes on its own. If not, hit it again.

Here's a different solution Bruce. Sometimes you will just get timed out if you have been taking a long time to post your comment. When you see that you are hung up on "sending." Just highlight your entire response and copy it. Then open up the forum in a new tab and you will probably see that you are not logged in. Just log in, find your thread, click the "start new reply" button, and paste your comment in the box. That is how I have always handled that issue and it has never failed.

I have a question for Old School. You are a prolific writer, not just based on your number of posts but also many of your comments are very detailed. Are you fast on the keyboard? I'm still honing my keyboard skill, but I'll probably never be fast. When I see others with fingers flying on a keyboard it amazes me.

I have some pretty long winded posts, I do that most of the time. I type very quickly, 65 wpm plus. But I time out quickly. I copy the whole thing, hit the refresh button, log in again, and then paste into new post. works every time.
