All the trucking companies should just form a single gigantic corporation with some operational autonomy and be done with mergers, acquisitions, and buyouts.

Why? Do you not believe in competition? How are you directly impacted by companies you don't drive for making business decisions to sell or make a partnership? Maybe we should have the government take over to make one giant Corp. Heck, how about the government takes over ALL businesses.

I really don't understand why you feel all trucking companies should form one entity. You do realize that if you have less options to work at it'll drive your wages and benefits down, right? Rates would go up to haul that freight if the shipper doesn't have a choice, which will directly impact the price you pay for the goods and services.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

I was being sarcastic regarding the ridiculousness of how often these mergers, acquisitions, and buyouts take place now.
