Being a "reader" is something to be proud of, lol. Actually, I know what you mean but somebody here will tell you how to change that. BTW, I certainly enjoy your comments.

Actually Davy, I just looked at your profile and it does show your status as "rookie solo driver". So I'm not sure how to get rid of the reader thing. Above my pay grade as well.

Ask Brett moment?

Here's where it began, guys & gals. I mentioned it ... as seen on page two. Never got fixed; ten months ago.... LoL! Brett got busy improving the HOS et al .. with O/S and I tried to help!

Brett, re: New Server ~

(I was kinda 'jelly' that I 'DIDN'T' HAVE a red badge/title, haha!) Nope, no mod material here; possible 'greeter' I would be okay with!

This is actually when the site started timing out at 30 minutes, as opposed to 1 or 2 hours. Tizzed me off (and still does!) as well.

Mystery solved.

Ineed, a BRETT moment, y'all!

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

My theory is that anyone who has joined the site within a year is still labeled as a "Reader." Anyone who has been on here for longer than a year, loses that label and just has the self-chosen status only ("Preparing for School," "Rookie Solo Driver," etc.). I've been watching this for a while, and to my observations my theory holds up.

The term "reader" is just a placeholder. When I updated the server and the version of the languages used I needed a placeholder there for new people who sign up. I just used "reader" and honestly I completely forgot about that. It has no meaning at all. I'll get rid of that before too long.

"Welcome Mom" would be fitting.

Its all good. This community has saved my bacon numerous times and given me the information to make what I feel are sound decisions for my career. I'm eternally grateful. Hopefully as I grow I can give a little back.

Well, your little nuggets of information that you have been able to provide about Knight Transportation have been helpful to me in assessing trucking companies. So, already the giving back has started.

Also, it is rookie drivers who are progressing to becoming experienced drivers that inspire me to go out and be the best driver that I can. My motivation comes from seeing you and other drivers face adversity, fight through it, and keep pushing forward.

Thank you for being open with your successes, your mistakes, and your insights.

I had many days in training that you giving supporting messages really helped. I cant begin to tell you how much it helps and how appreciative I am of it. Thank you.
