Oops sorry Anne. I was too close to the edge, in a roundabout kinda way...

DANG!!! Good one, G . . . MORE .... YES epic! 'Close to the Edge' & 'Roundabout!' (Listening now, haha!) You're one of the FEW people I know that remembers this epic stuff!! Thanks! Saw them live; I was maybe 10 ?!? New York... I'll have to check!

Got me thinking about THIS one. . .

"You know I've been to the edge,

And I stood and looked down....

I lost a lot of friends there baby,

I got no time to mess around."

(Go~ Your turns!)

~ Anne ~

ps: Ya know, SO much of this relates to what we (well, y'all~) DO !!! IMHO...

I’ll share a great story here since we are on the subject of 70s rock and roll.

As many of you know I (we) moved to lower slower Delaware (aka LSD). Lewes to be exact. Me and my Lady have vacationed in this area for almost 2 decades... and finally were able to make it our home.

So as you would expect, we enjoy exploring the local landscape, etc. Especially food and of course, music. We stumbled upon a place called Paul’s Kitchen. Purely by accident.

Long story, short it’s owned and run by the former bass player of Bad Company; Paul Cullen. He is there most of the time; still performs with a small local band and has morphed from rock star to award winning chef specializing in Italian food. He sat with us during a break and talked old school music with Di and I. His musical guests include many of the greats my generation grew up with...they just kinda show up when passing through. Especially during the spring and summer.

Stay tuned on this; I’ll be periodically posting pics from this venue. It’s a totally amazing place, great food and a rock and roll shrine inside. I’m trying to get a good friends band a booking there... like I said, stay tuned.

David Bromberg resides in Wilmington, De. Runs a vintage violin shop. Great musician that did not hit mainstream

I’ve seen him perform at the Main Point in Wayne Pa; late 70’s. He was a troubadour... paraded the entire audience up and down RT 30.

I saw him 5 years ago at the harvester in Rocky Mount Va. Fire alarm was pulled by accident. The band just played in tune w the sound until it was shut off. Did not miss a beat.
