I have very little class c driving experience about 10 hours max.

the job ask, Must have been a licensed driver for at least three (3) continuous years

I hold class c license for more than 3 year + without driving at all but i can lie to them that I have driving experience for 3 years.

I tried driving class b cdl bus using learning permit, it was just like drive a car. And I just fine.

should I apply for bus driving job?

No. You don't have enough experience to know how to drive. There's no muscle memory or instincts that have been developed. There's a reason they're asking for 3 years of driving experience.

Hi Roda. Probably not the smartest move to lie since they will more than likely verify that you have those 3 years of experience. It may even be an insurance requirement for the company that you have those 3 years.

I asked a recruiter he said, they have no way to verify that you actually have 3 years driving experience. this company will train you to become a good bus driver. If you don't pass training , they will not let you become bus driver. should i apply for job?

They can definitely verify your experience. They are just choosing not too. And asking you to lie about it. I personally couldn’t recommend a company like that. And wouldn’t recommend lieing. End up in an serious accident and that will come back to bite you hard. Something to consider before you apply for this job.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

the job ask, Must have been a licensed driver for at least three (3) continuous years

The rule of thumb is to answer truthfully, but don't volunteer information. If you've held a license for over three years, the answer is YES. They didn't ask how much you've driven in that time. The truck driver jobs I've seen often want to know how many miles you've driven with various equipment (53-foot van, doubles , etc.), so companies want to know, they'll ask This company chose not to, so you have no reason to provide that information.

Doubles:

Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

That's not what's being asked. What's being asked is "should I?"

The answer is no. Driving a bus with passengers in a city where there are pedestrians, negligent drivers and distractions is a bad idea for someone with no driving experience.

I totally agree with Banks

James, would you like to put your kids on a city bus going across town with Roda as the driver? I hold nothing against Roda. The lack of driving experience is an incredible liability for a position like this. Roda needs some experience on the road as a driver.

If Roda's lack of experience driving a passenger vehicle is a problem, it should become apparent very quickly in training.

Personally, I believe I learned more about managing traffic safely by riding a bicycle in urban areas than I did behind the wheel.

And to answer your question, it never occurred to me to investigate the MTA's hiring standards before my kids started traveling by bus and subway. So I checked, and as far as I can see, there's a six- to eight-week training process, but no formal education or experience requirements. https://new.mta.info/careers/bus-operator

Rota,

Driving is a very unique field in that if you mess up once you are black listed and kicked out, or worse. My advice to you is to try not to lie, cheat, or cut corners.

Personally, once i saw what city bus drivers in chicago have to deal with i don't think any amount of money would make me want to drive a bus.
