Even with a lawyer you will have a hard time getting this dismissed. But at least try to get it reduced. An attorney may be able to negotiate the speeding down to something less serious. I guess it depends on how good and well connected the attorney is. So ask around for a lawyer with a lot of experience in these traffic matters. Good luck, I know you must be bummed out right now. This too will pass.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. As a CDL holder, you want it dismissed. FMSCA antimasking laws apply. It can be pled down, but the original charge has to be on the record.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Be sure to report it immediately. Apparently insurance companies can pull records at any time and do so periodically. My friend got a ticket in CA and before the court date, his companies' insurance company found. It and he was fired for not reporting it. He explained he was fighting it and not convicted. They didn't care. He is in an At will state....so he lost his job.

It's important to note that not all types of violations can be cleared from your driving record, and the laws and programs vary. I got 2 speeding tickets and a DUI dismissed permanently. I got a job after so many years of depression.

It's important to note that not all types of violations can be cleared from your driving record, and the laws and programs vary by jurisdiction. It's best to request advice from Records Removal Options {recordsremoval@instructor.net} to see what options are available to you in your specific situation, However through their assistance, I got 2 speeding tickets and a DUI dismissed permanently. I got a job after so many years of depression.

What is this “records removal options” organization? I never heard of it. Is it a for-profit business and is it just for California?
