Truck is done and we are headed to nearby Pilot to wait our pre-plan load assignment at 17:00 CDT.

It was a NOX sensor gone bad.

A Wilson Logistics driver picked up the trailer just a few minutes ago.

Then plan now is that we bobtail to Plainview, TX about 312 miles to pickup an empty trailer.

Then we drive north on I-27 to Cactus, TX north of Amarillo to D&H a load of meat going to Elloree, SC for live unload on Sunday morning.

My 10-hrs break will end at 19:17 CDT, so I’ll drive out the remainder of my Noon - Midnight shift. Then Robert takes over.

312 miles bobtail? Oof.. thats a rough ride. I think my longest was 220. Looks like you have your weekend plans. Take care out there.

Bobtail definitely handles different and rides rougher. Windy here, so no trailer will help.

Happiness will be Cali in my rear view mirrors.

Two places that many drivers hate but I don't mind:

1. California including LA

2. NYC

I have no problem w Ca. although I traveled from one end I-10 in dessert to oregon border repeat for 3 days straight. Honestly enjoyed LA traffic. Atlanta and Houston I hate!! Nyc well you know!

Just finished switching drivers. Driving 5 hours bobtail in wind was more tiring than I had thought it would be

It is now 10:00 CDT. I had a decent sleep for over 8 hours for a change. I vaguely recall Robert talking with people about a trailer issue.

Anyway, we are heading east on I-40 again with our new load towards a fuel stop at Sayre, OK. This will be good spot to wait for my shift change to start driving at 12:00.

I was wrong. Robert wants to drive another hour or so until our shift change at 12:00.

That’s fine, gives me time to eat my Subway sandwich
