My truck has been in the shop for a week. One thing I didn’t think about was the food in the fridge. The shop cut the power to do the repair and, of course, everything in the fridge is spoiled. Anybody have a suggestion as to this situation? What did you do with the contents of your fridge when it was in for a multi-day repair?

One positive thing is that I needed to defrost the freezer compartment. That item is now off my list, lol

Empty it all into a bag and take it to the hotel fridge.

I'm usually put up in a motel with a fridge, so my food goes with me.

Besides utilizing the hotel's dumpster (at this point,) buy stock in Lysol, PineSol, and Febreeze!!

ps: When Tom had a similar situation while OTR , his Dometic 'cooler' became devoid of the beverages, and replaced with his food. Drinks can always be 're'chilled.' (Is that a word? Is now!)

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I hope that another driver who reads about my mistake will avoid doing the same thing. At least now I get to re-stock with the Walmart experience.

Can your own foods. These never need refrigeration, you know the ingredients, it will last indefinitely, etc.

Yep, very educational for future readers!!! When DO you go shop to restock, BK?
