I am Headless Chicken.. when I was a little kid my grandma had a small chicken farm. She would go out and get a fresh chicken and kill it with a hatchet and pluck it by hand and cook it up. I used to laugh my butt off when the headless chickens ran from her. Plus I like to run until my shift ends then crash at the computer when I get home.

My shift mates are.. Cowboy Paul Wrong way Bigboy Lowrider Boat Ramp

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Hopefully Mud Duck in the Desert stops by so I can tell him how big of a fan I am.

I would get excited when he'd say back to the bench, thinking that meant he was done. Nope, he just keeps going.

Thankfully i don't get mud duck coming in where I run very often. As long as my squelch isn't cranked all the way up I go several days without hearing him at all. The guy that gets on my nerves the most is "buckshot" down in the Kansas City area. I don't typically get him unless I'm within the KC metro but he just fills the airwaves with religious teachings and quotes from the Bible. One day he informed us that God looks down on those that use alcohol, drugs and view pornography. When he finally shut up 5 minutes later I said "God won't forget what you did back in the 80s for heroin Ted." Had plenty of other drivers finally jump in just trashing this guy before he started walking all over us with Bible verses supporting his claim. He claims to have been a truck driver some 30 years ago and now is a van courier for a medical group down there, but has been spreading the word of God through the CB for the last 20 years or so.

We don't use handles on radio ( route number), but I'm Big-G around the terminal.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
