In 2021 I was charged with child abuse because I had a 17 year old boy asking my 6-year-old daughter for her panties on the bus and the school chose not to do nothing about it and after I took her off the bus the boys started creeping around my house back in front of the boy he pushed me so I punched him in the mouth. I was charged with child abuse because it was the lowest charge that they could give me the case was dropped after 11:29 to supervised probation so now I'm looking for trucking job trucking companies that do the paid CDL training and I keep getting turned down because of this charge are there any paid CDL training schools out there that'll that are worth going to that'll look over that charge and understand that it was dropped because it still shows up on my background but once they see it they don't look into it they don't see that it was dropped

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

We're in a period where the market is saturated. Look at other posts on this forum from other drivers that aren't working like they were a year ago.

A few companies are still hiring, but they're not desperate. You're competing for a limited amount of spots with a lot of candidates that have found themselves laid off or with their current job limiting hours. Those people don't have criminal records, immaculate driving records and a solid job history.

It's not about the criminal charge, it's a combination of the economy and the applicant pool.

I’ve read the op’s post 3 times and still a bit confused. Doesn’t really matter because in this market right now as Banks points out there are plenty of canadates for companies to choose from without any bagage.

Keep applying everywhere, but don’t expect many companies to be interested. Just the way it is.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

That's a difficult one to get around, but not impossible.

With the current state of the trucking industry, it is an uphill battle, even with charges dropped. Apply everywhere. Don't lie, but don't over explain like you tried here. "I was charged with child abuse in 2021. The Charges were dropped due to no evidence supporting them. "

Time may wind up being your only option to fixing your record, unfortunately. Whatever you do, do not omit the charge, as people have been sent home for "forgetting" to disclose a charge, even if it was dismissed.

Johnathon, you only punched him once? I’d say you showed great restraint.

I hope you can land a job, good luck.
