Hello All,

My student co-drive didn't happen as my classmate got a long overdue appointment at the VA so I stayed with my trainer for a third week.

Got some great nerve-conditioning tonic this week as I had to drive through the Appalachians at night during extreme pouring rain. I toughed it out and now driving in the rain in Chicago seems not so daunting by comparison.

Early last week I did my road evaluation with Veriha's safety department ahead of my solo orientation next week. It went very well or at least good enough for them to call my trainer midweek and they said they are rerouting us to Detroit to recover a truck in the Ysiplanti yard. They told ended my training and said have Andy (me Zen Joker) couple the recovery truck with the current load and send him to Appleton, WI for the delivery Saturday. My trainer uncoupled and grabbed another load and also headed back to WI.

Felt great the company trusted me enough to pull me from training and I'm glad to help out Veriha that has been VERY accommodating and so far a very strong company to work for.

For all my fellow rookies struggling with backing, practice, practice, practice!!! This moderately hard back with little headroom threw me a loop last week and I got in there good this week. Next week I am out solo full time!!!
