So the mattress my company gave me for the sleeper leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm considering buying my own mattress to put in there. Has anyone else done this? Any tips or advice for this situation?

I've known people that have. I have an extra thick Serta memory foam plus. It was purchased for an o/o rig and they quit before it was put in. I ended up with it. The quality of sleep I get with it is better than I get at home.

I consider it worth the cost, especially if you have back problems. I got this for free, but if the day comes where I need a new one, I will purchase one.

One other thing I noticed with the T680 is that the support for the mattress is full 3/4 inch acx plywood. This is important because it gives you more support and will prevent the mattress from sagging under weight. On the internationals and volvos, it was only 3/8 inch thick goods. If you're experienced with construction you could beef up the support for the mattress if your cab accommodates it.

Yep! Prime sells the same Oddesy mattress that the Iowa 80 sells. It was well worth it to me to upgrade it.

I’m so tough that I sleep on a bed of nails, lol.

Seriously, I use the mattress that came with the Frightliner, but I got a 2” memory foam topper from the internet. Very comfortable. I think the topper cost $80, including shipping
