Who do you consider the most iconic-or just your favorite-character from a movie franchise that had at least one sequel?

We're looking for a character that appears in more than one movie. (Rocky, for example)

If a character is portrayed by more than one actor who each played the role more than once (Like James Bond), name the actor you liked best in that role.

Does Mickey Mouse count? Lol One of my favorite actors is Denzel Washington. I just heard that there is a third Equalizer movie coming out that I will definitely see.

My favorite is Morgan Freeman as Red in Shawshank. Time to get busy living, or get busy dying.

Howdy Jaybird,

Was there a sequel to Shawshank? I watched part of that show just once and really wasn't interested in it, so don't know if there was a second one.

Red's a great choice. "I don't have her stuffed down the front of my pants I'm sorry to say. "

That's the only movie the character appeared in though as RR pointed out.

Sean Connery as James Bond

Harrison Ford for Star Wars and Indiana Jones

Tom Cruise for Mission Impossible and Top Gun

Matt Damon for Jason Bourne

Now I’m going to cheat. My favorite actors are John Wayne and James Stewart.

John Wayne in the John Ford directed US Calvery films: Rio Grande, Fort Apache, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, and The Horse Soldiers.

John Wayne and Maureen O’ Hara in 5 films together. America’s couple in their day.

James Stewart in the 5 Anthony Mann directed westerns in the 1950’s: Winchester 73, The Bend in the River, The Man From Laramie, The Far Country, and The Naked Spur.

PS. John Wayne and James Stewart together in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin is great as Liberty Valance) and The Shootist.
