From what I've read, Ritchie Bros. Is supposed to be handling the auctions for all the company gear. Everything minus the real estate. As for the drivers, hopefully they found jobs, but I'm not a Teamster supporter.
The real estate has been selling or sold already for big dollars. Estes and a few other LTL companies have bought a lot of them.
I am sure that those who wanted jobs found them. A lot of Teamsters would only work for union companies and therefore not go to work unless it was a Teamster job.
I am in agreement with PackRat on this one. I have been a Teamster member 2 different times and do not support the union.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.

I do not think OD bought any terminals from what I heard. Supposedly, some of their old equipment is starting to show up in some of our yards. I just haven't seen any of it yet.
As for their drivers they have had a hard time finding work, a lot of companies will not hire them due to them being former union employees. Plus LTL is still slow so most not a lot of hiring to go around anyway. Even some OTR companies didn't want to hire them from what I've seen.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
