Did you have a CDL when you earned these two operating convictions?
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
You asked for advice so here's mine. Start driving like a responsible person and you won't have these types of issues.
Those are bad violations to have on your record. The 15 over speeding will haunt you for 3-5 years. Apply everywhere and see if someone will give you a shot.
Insurance companies dictate who we can hire, smaller outfits will pass more than likely because of that. Even if the insurance company would approve you the rate would be very high. Smaller companies just can’t afford that.
Bigger self insured companies would have a easier case but most of them have pretty strict polices against that speed violation.

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

As pointed out, these two are going to be major red flags for any company, especially 15 mph over. With a CDL , that should be looked upon as reckless driving.
Keep applying everywhere, and for any possible driving position. However, your possibility of getting any chance for the next few years will be bleak. The insurance costs are huge for carriers, and your history is not in their best interest.

Korrey, if you can’t get a new job for CDL-A driving, seriously consider looking for a CDL-B type job. Local driving. This will keep your license in use and keep your head in the game.

Hey I have two moving violations on my record
Improper lane usage from 05-2021 &
Speeding in a personal vehicle 15 over 05/2022
I’m having a hard time finding work any advice would be highly appreciated both cases defended myself and was giving court supervision to Iater find out that’s the same things as a conviction when you hold A cdl
