Well, it worked out for me...I went to the office this morning and asked where I am at on the list..the young lady look and told me I was next on the list..I now have my freightliner cascadia..I am happy with it..It is a light weight truck I have done my inspections on it and wrote it all down..and told them that after 4 min of running the check & stop engine lights comes on then truck turns off..They will check it out and fix the problem and add the 2nd seat.. So some time this after noon they will call me.. I will add a photo but..I don't use photobucket..

Good luck Capon! Be safe out there, and remember you're a professional - get out there and show em how a professional conducts themselves.

after 4 min of running the check & stop engine lights comes on then truck turns off....

Our trucks do that because the computer is set up that way.

The Company feels that if they don't have an "automatic" shut off, then we would let them idle all day..... We probably would

Excellent! Glad that worked out well.

I'm wondering - are you sure you want the passenger seat put back in? I mean, if you're planning on taking people with you then it's a no-brainer. But if you're going to be alone all the time, you might really appreciate the extra room you get with that seat out of the way. I know if I was travelling alone I would want the seat out. That space is precious.

We have a few friends that have their passenger seat out, so they can put in a decent sized refrigerator...I know we sure like our fridge, and its a $$ saver, too. But I imagine that setup would have to be ok'd by the company.

This, our trucks are set up the same way, they have an idle temperature gauge installed, after 4 minutes of idle, the truck shuts off.

When I was a company driver for Prime, I removed the 2nd seat for the added room. You will find it to be very cramped in there with it in. You already have limited space, putting the seat back in will take even more of that space and you will not have room to turn around, let alone do anything else.

Just my personal observation, leave it out if you don't plan on someone else riding with you all the time, you will appreciate the added space with the seat removed.
