I'm 66 but I'm very immature for my age.

Megan- if your still around. Your not too young to start this career. Your only too young if you are under 21. You can only go intra-state not inter-state. So just a little info for those who have not turned 21 yet. You can drive you your home state before 21, but after that you can go OTR.

Brett- that was an eye opener in your pick at 21. Doesn't even look like you. But hey If you could see a pic of me before I went into the Air Force, you wouldn't think that was me either. I had long hair and a short goatee. I don't know if my mom still has that pic or not, but I'll ask her. She usually doesn't throw pics away.

This will be my second time starting out into trucking. Last time was 1998. Now 20 years later I'm doing it again.

Good luck to all who are just starting and to those who are coming back to it, and for those who still do it. Keep the shinny side up!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
