Some times this is referred to as the Fed Ex "white glove" service. You will need experience, but other than that I don't know a lot about it. I think many of the drivers in that division are owner operators. They are usually pulling specialized loads that have a delivery with a tight deadline, and often times will be delivering to places that traditional trucks do not go into (such as neighborhoods). I've heard that there is good money in it, but you may have to run illegal to make it all work out right.
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.

Did you ever get any more info on the FedEx custom critical? I'm considering leasing my truck/Driver on to them
I know a husband/wife team who are O/O for FedEx CC. They run a reefer straight truck. They love it and make excellent money. They both have secret clearances and run a good amount of "high value" loads. They also move a lot of pharmaceuticals. The FedEx CC fleet is made up of all O/Os. If you run team, FedEx will give you a reefer trailer.
A refrigerated trailer.

Like, speeding, improper lane usage, tailgating, running stop signs, cutting off other vehicles, passing in pass zones, falsifying logs. Just to name a few.

Although I appreciate the spirit of that .gif, I think changing "Francis" to "princess" loses some of the charm of the original quote. Hell, I've used "lighten up, Francis" on the CB when somebody gets their panties in a wad waiting for someone to back into a spot at a shipper/receiver or truck stop. Always good for a few laughs from the rest of the audience.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
